Mission and Purpose of the Mining Finland Association

Mining Finland ry is a cooperation network for Finnish mining technology and service companies. The Association's purpose is to promote the export of technology, services, and education from the Finnish mining cluster to international markets. The organization brings together companies and other actors whose expertise covers the entire mineral sector value chain. The goal is to solidify Finland's reputation internationally as a high-standard center for mining technology and expertise. To achieve these objectives, Mining Finland participates in international and domestic industry events and facilitates collaboration between companies and RDI actors.

"Mining Finland's role in export promotion and as the unifying actor for the entire cluster is more important than ever," reminds Board Chair Saija Luukkanen from Oulu Mining School. "The research and commercialization of new technological and service solutions, and the education connected to them, are playing a crucial role for Finland as we seek economic growth from the mining sector."
