MINING FINLAND AND LINKMINERS ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP THAT WILL BRING FINNISH TECHNOLOGY TO LATIN AMERICA
A link between Peru and Finland
This alliance will facilitate the introduction of solutions and technologies from METS members of Mining Finland to the Latin American mining industry
More than 50 mining companies from Peru, Chile, Ecuador and Mexico, members of the Linkminers community, will be able to access Finnish technology to solve their operational needs.
This agreement establishes a collaboration framework for the organisation of collaborative spaces for the exchange and discussion of relevant issues in the mining industry.
LIMA, PERU, 8 June 2022 – Mining Finland, an association that promotes the export of Finnish mining technology, and Linkminers, a Peruvian company that seeks to boost the future of mining, by being the leading source of information for solutions for the global mining industry, formalized a collaboration agreement in order to bring Finnish technology closer to the mining industry in Latin America, facilitating the use of Linkminers’ services by the Finnish METS.
The agreement will allow the members of Mining Finland to showcase, with additional benefits, their solutions to the mining industry in the Latin American region, through the Linkminers digital platform. Additionally, it will promote the exchange of key information on the needs of mining companies, as well as the latest technologies that are being developed for mining.
Miia Mikkonen, Chief Executive Officer of Mining Finland, noted that “We are looking forward to strengthening the connection between Finnish technology and know-how with the mining industry in Latin America. There are many companies with an interest to emerge to the Latin American market. This alliance will grant mining companies from the Linkminers community access to a diverse range of Finnish solutions, adding to the current portfolio of Linkminers, containing more than 1,000 solutions from more than 30 countries. This will allow mining operations to further increase the efficiency and safety of their operations, making them more digital and sustainable.
