  • FINNMIN

    The Finnish Mining Association, founded in 1999, is a promoting and cooperative organization for Finnish companies operating in the extractive industry. It promotes competitiveness and the operational preconditions for it, the largest and most important sector in Finland. FINNMIN includes almost 50 members: mining operators, contractors, equipment and machinery suppliers, service providers and exploration companies.

Three universities of applied sciences offer mining education, from exploration, to mining technologies and mineral processing.     The Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) serves as a national geo-scientific information centre and provides data, testing and consulting services on the mineral deposits in Finland and abroad.
    Moreover, they provide geological expertise, in order to create solutions for sustainable growth.
    Their over 400 professionals offer expert and research services. Moreover, they are also developing digital solutions and a broad range of laboratory services.

    The Kaivosvastuu network is an independent and transparent network that brings together the mining industry and its stakeholders to discuss, negotiate and develop more sustainable mining.
